Change the annual meeting to a non-holiday weekend so that more of us could attend. Currently it lands on Father's Day weekend.
Allow reasonable parking grace during the summer for residents who have boats and RVs. It would be so convenient for working people to be able to use precious spare moments to clean/service/pack their equipment between trips.
Request the free services of Community Dispute Resolution Center of Missoula to help us address the problems we are having in our HOA. If we do not qualify for their services, perhaps we could find a neutral mediator. Some of our ongoing disputes appear to have deep roots that have nothing to do with the HOA. Everyone seems to want the same things for the community. Exclusion and non-communication only fuel frustration. Both passive-aggressive and bullying behaviors have developed around a number of different issues. It is unpleasant and at times threatening. With all due respect to those long serving members in leadership, if the parties that have the most trouble between them cannot resolve their issues and trust cannot be restored, perhaps they could step down, or if not in a leadership position, stand down, and let others lead, realizing that their knowledge and experience would still have great value to all of us as actively involved members.

Hello Christine,
Thank you for your suggestions to the board. We discussed them at our board meetings on
November 14 and December 6, 2023.
1. The board discussed your suggestion to move the annual meeting to a non-holiday
weekend. Currently it lands on the day before Father’s Day. Any change would require a
⅔ affirmative majority of all homeowners. With that being said the board decided to place
this discussion on the agenda for the 2024 annual meeting so all the homeowners will
have input at a later date.
2. The board discussed the suggestion for a grace period for loading and unloading boats
and RV’s for residents during the summer. Since the inception of our development
almost 40 years ago, there has always been a reasonable grace period allowed by the
board. Our covenants do not allow ongoing parking on our properties nor in the streets
after loading and unloading rv’s, boats, etc. out of respect for our neighbors, delivery
personnel, service personnel and all of our property values.
3. Concerning the suggestion of contacting the Community Dispute Resolution Center in
Missoula. I did contact them and discussed our situation. There would be charges to
both parties and both parties would need to be willing to participate with the mediator.
Since most of the issues have been of a legal nature, the board is working on a proper
and non confrontational suggestion and dispute form for members to use on our website
and continued listing of our board phone numbers and gmail. We hope that this will help
with a better way of having constructive dialog with members.
I’m hoping this communication answers your questions and concerns. We really are trying to be
transparent and open to input from our association members.
Sincerely,
Merri Crockett
